Check your Boiler Pressure
The pressure of your boiler can affect how it performs. Over time, boilers can lose pressure which will decrease their efficiency. If your boiler’s pressure is too low then it won’t run properly, the right boiler pressure is between the 1 and 1.5, you can easily check this on the front of your boiler. Checking your boiler pressure gauge every couple of months will allow you to keep on top of things.
Power Flush your System
What is a power flush? A power flush is a cleansing process for your central heating system. Over time, sludge, rust and other debris can build-up in your radiators, pipes and boiler preventing the system from working properly. Powerflushing uses a chemical solution to give your system a deep clean flushing out all the sludge, rust and other debris from your system. Therefore, your boiler and radiators will heat your home more effectively and extend the lifespan of your system. Here at Woods Building Maintenance, we recommend you seek advice from one of our Gas Safe Registered engineers who will advise you on whether your central heating system requires a power flush.
